Rain has caused a “disruption” to the rail line between South Australia and Darwin, authorities say, who are working to “ensure Territorians have the supplies they need”.
The cross-country rail line connecting Australia's east and west has been closed after heavy rain and flash flooding washed away significant sections of track, the corridor's manager says.
For most of the year, this train is the Ghan, travelling the historic route between Darwin and Adelaide. Come summer, there’s a change of scenery.
